LifeFormations recently completed an all electric figure for the Discovery Place Science Center: DPC Robot. This figure uses the latest in Dynamixel Pro Motors and the Weigl Pro I/O™ Servo 16 module to directly interface with the electric animation. Not requiring an air compressor or HPU, this figure can run for long periods of time without maintenance.

Power can also be cycled and control for start/end of day procedures through the unique high-amperage Mosfet transistor control within the Pro I/O™ Servo. This switching is done through our ASCII scripting language and the Control.ini, as well as can be integrated into the ConductorPro™ show timeline.

Connection to the servos is made directly from the Pro I/O’s full duplex RS-485 port, controlling up to 8 motors with selected driver profiles, stored within the Pro I/Os™ themselves. With over 25 motor drivers and counting, Weigl makes digital actuation accessible.
