Weigl Control was privileged to contribute a wide range of show control and media playback for the rebirth of Piraten in Batavia at Germany’s Europa-Park, working with partners such as Garner Holt Productions, Inc., LifeFormations, #HofmannFiguren, Sally Dark Rides, and Kraftwerk Living Technologies. Over 70 Weigl ProCommander® and Pro I/O™ controllers operate in tight network synchronization with AES-67 audio and lighting controls to provide a new benchmark in coordinated control for large dark rides.

The ProCommander® HX (and VX) recently received a refresh in conjunction with this attraction opening, allowing precise PTP and AES-67 to seamless coordinate with other audio systems such as Q-Sys and other network systems. It also assisted in orchestration of many electric movements across the animatronics via CANOpen. Each movement and start of day/end of day procedures can be scripted and monitored both centrally and remotely at the figures and scenes for maximum flexibility and coordination.
